Wire glovesThe key ingredient in the glove is the fine stainless steel wire, which is usually first made into an enveloping yarn and then woven into the glove. This glove is hard.

HPPE glovesThere is a difference in the cutting grade of HPPE gloves. There are three or five levels of gloves. The fifth level can be achieved only by adding glass fiber into the gloves. However, glass fiber is easy to break and its performance is not very good. It is common to soak PU glue in the palm of HPPE glove.

How to classify the grade of anti-cutting glovesThe more common standard for the classification of anti-cutting gloves is EU BS EN 388 (equivalent to Australian/New Zealand standard AS/NZS 2161.3). The standard covers four mechanical risks, namely, anti-grinding, anti-cutting, anti-tearing and anti-stabbing. Gloves conforming to the specification shall be marked with a blacksmith's hammer and iron shield and shall be graded on a scale of 1 to 4. Some gloves may be graded up to level 5.In some cases,  "x" and "0" are also used to indicate inapplicability and ratings below "1", respectively. Anti-cutting gloves shall also meet the requirements set out in BS EN 420 for general, comfort and efficiency, test procedures and marking and information, such as water penetration, amount of hexavalent chromium released from leather gloves, etc.
